Description: After many visits to White Cliffs over the years, the hardships of the early days are always brought home to me by a visit to the historic cemetery on the edge of town. With 500 unmarked children's graves and innumerable adults it is a place that bears testament to the people who have lasted the distance of isolation in the outback, and to those who call this unique outback opal mining town home today.
