Description: I was fortunate to be able to capture this rare sight of the normally bone dry Popiltah Lake located about 150 km south of Broken Hill on the road to Wentworth. Popiltah Lake is an ephemeral lake, which most of the time is empty. The recent flood events filled it with water from the Darling/Barka Anabranch. The vibrant green water strikes a wonderful contrast to the parched red dirt of the foreshore.
