Description: White Cliffs opal fields in Outback NSW is a literal mine field of exposed shafts. A drive through the west field is a like traversing a lunar landscape, where countless opal miners have burrowed beneath the surface in search of that elusive piece of colour. Watching the golden glow of an outback sun setting over the opal fields is a truly magical experience, and a time to contemplate the tenacity of the people who have called this place home over the years.
